I can’t front to you guys, making the decision to be an innovator is not for the weak. There are times when all you can do is eat pb& j and that’s if you’re lucky. You run from one provider to the next asking to make payment arrangements. You check out events to make sure you have relevance even when you really wanted to be snuggled up with a good book. Times like these the Laidback chick really kicks back and wonders why she doesn’t return to the world of plenty. Well not exactly plenty but it sure was consistently better. I could do the daily grind, get a pretty good check, work 9-6 and leave the trials of someone else’s company for them to deal with as I enjoy my weekends chilling with family and partying it up in my fresh new kicks and Diesel or R&R jeans. But here I stay rocking the Gap if lucky, Old Navy many a day, eating what I scrounge up but cranking out the goods none the less. I do it all for you. Who else will provide you with something fresh and innovative for your nest. Our homes need to represent our love of the streets, hip-hop , music, and boldness, and when I think that that would be little if at all possible if I were to throw in the towel, I push on. So look out for the new pillow collection, the duvets du jour ( working on a production date right now), new totes and stationary in the coming months. I’ll be there for you, just make sure if you see the Laidback chick trying to bum a swipe at the train station to get to her next meeting you hook her up so she can go get the job done. If not Laidback then who??

The verdict is in and Laidback has been approved. Laidback will be a part of the Brooklyn Designs + exhibition/mart going down this year. This is the second year and I anticipate it being bigger and better.

Well the Showroom is a wrap. I have finally moved everything out and returned to the studio. We had some great visits and it capped on a high note with a major manufacturer and distributor stopping by. We are entertaining the idea of a partnership and will be meeting again this week. This week will be quite busy for the Laidback chick.
-Today I will be at FIT teaching a new seminar for me “How to Style, Plan and Merchandise a Fashion Line”
- I will be helping out my girl Anita from Sixxfoota dress, and fit her models for BET’s Rip the Runway
- I will be attending a benefit on Friday for the Children’s Aid Society where I donated product for the event.
-Laidback Jr is out of school this week so he is hanging out at the studio driving me batty.
-Working on a collabo with the relaunch of Get Em Girls
Laidback is also working on a more interactive site, redesign of the myspace page, and blog layout.
Laidback always on the move..
